Established in 1986, the Montessori House of Children in Sunnyvale has provided a warm and nurturing environment to over 2,000 children between the ages of 2 1/2 to 6 years. These young adults have grown up with us and have successfully moved into elementary schools. The School has two buildings with skilled teachers to guide the children through the day's activities. The curriculum includes lessons in practical life and sensorial skills, language, math, science, history, geography, art, and world culture. Specialized classes are offered in Spanish and Gymnastics.

The school is equipped with specially designed Montessori apparatus and materials from Holland, the center of Montessori education. It provides two secure, airy playgrounds with slides, swings, tricycles and playhouses. In addition to the regular activities, the school has holiday festivals; parades and theatrical performances put on by the children.

Children are admitted following an interview with parents. Parents are encouraged to visit the school for observation and interview, prior to applying for enrollment. Visits may be arranged by calling (408) 749-1602.
